I would like to tell something about two cities in the border regions. I talk about Strasbourg in France and Kehl in Germany. Both cities were beautiful and interesting. Many people from Germany go to France and people from France go to Germany with different reasons. This phenomena can you see very well in both cities.
Strasbourg
We really enjoyed the day in Strasbourg. We’ve learnt very much from the boat-trip where we’ve listened to the information about the city. After the boat-trip we were going to ask some questions to some people from there to know more about how they live there. We’ve spoken French people and German people as well. The English of the most wasn’t that good but we could answer the questions. We met many French people who can also speak German and otherwise.
Kehl
We also went to Kehl which was smaller than Strasbourg but it had the same situation. There you had German people who can also speak French. English isn’t the most important language in the border regions between Germany and France. When we arrived in Kehl, we went straight to the building where we were listening to a presentation about the border regions. After the presentation we went to ask questions again. We’ve spoken students from a high school and got much information. For example they learn French on their school as expect and they said that they go shopping in Strasbourg sometimes or other cities in France. That was interesting to hear.
